Help spread cancer awareness for breast cancer awareness month by supporting the wishing for mommy foundation.

American Fork, UT—Local martial artists across the nation are fundraising this fall in a unique way for a unique cause. These students are exchanging their hard-earned rank for pink belts in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The students are in search of a mother in the Utah County community who can benefit from these fundraising efforts after this nationwide fundraiser is over.

Proceeds from their October Pink Belt fundraiser are benefiting a campaign by the name of Wishing for Mommy. This initiative asks the children of these mothers to write in and tell the organization what they’d do if they were given $500 to help their mommy. These wishes are typically a destination vacation, a nice dinner or a new dress, or sometimes even a makeover. When the child’s wish is granted, they are empowered and enabled to feel like they are finally able to able to help their mommy out in the face of adversity- being just a kid.

When a candidate for the grant is found, a wish-granting ceremony will take place at the martial arts center, given that the mommy feels well enough. She will also be presented with an honorary pink belt and members of the press are welcome to attend.

If members of the community wish to make general donations to Wishing for Mommy to benefit families all over the US, they may do so at www.WishingforMommy.org

Join the Pink Belt Revolution and help mothers suffering from cancer by supporting the wishing for mommy foundation.
